3 arrested for violation of restrictions: Police

SRINAGAR, Mar 23: Police today said three persons were arrested for violation of restrictions.
Giving details, a police spokesman said that today information was received by police station Nowhatta that some unknown persons have organized a cricket match at Gani Memorial Stadium, Rajouri Kadal which has resulted in a huge gathering in the stadium.
"As this act violated restrictions imposed by the government under section144 CRPC to prevent spread of COVID-19 pandemic disease, therefore, FIR No. 12/2020 u/s 188,270 IPC PS Nowhatta was registered and three violators were arrested on spot," he said.
The spokesman identified them as Faisal Shafi Chaira of Rajouri Kadal , Shukran Manzoor of Hawal and Anzar Sajad Bazaz of Rajouri Kadal
"The general public is requested to cooperate to stop the spread of this pandemic and follow the guidelines issued by the government from time to time. The restrictions imposed are for the greater good and it will be prudent to stay at home to reduce the chances of exposure to this virus and one should move out only when its most urgent. Social distancing and personal hygiene are the only ways of stopping the spread this novel coronavirus which has claimed numerous lives across the world," the spokesman said.
