Home delivery of essential commodities in Kishtwar

KISHTWAR, Mar 25: In order to avoid any public gatherings and to prevent individual to individual contacts at LPG refill points, grocery shops and medical stores, District Magistrate Kishtwar, Rajinder Singh Tara notified the list of shopkeepers along with their Phone numbers who volunteered for providing home delivery of essentials in wake of 21-day nationwide lock down announced by PM for preventing the further spread on COVID-19.
At least 96 shops and establishments and 05 gas agencies have been identified and notified along with their phone numbers for the convenience of the general public.
Besides it has been strictly advised to the shopkeepers to avoid any kind of gathering during the process of delivery of commodities within or outside of the houses as the same could malignant the very purpose of the mechanism for which home delivery has been arranged, DM said.
Further in order to ensure the smooth delivery of food, medicines and LPG cylinders to the general public as per the requirement and to avoid any type of overcharging, hoarding and panic borrowings, DM has appointed AD FCS&CA Kishtwar (9797687888), Assistant Legal Metrology Officer Kishtwar (9419157178) and designated Officer Food and Safety Kishtwar (9858555205) as Nodal officers to look after this mechanism.
Moreover, any other shopkeeper who voluntarily desires to provide the home delivery of the essentials may contact the nodal officers notified above for his/her inclusion in the list, DM further added.
