DM Kishtwar urges public to observe the lockdown religiously

KISHTWAR, Mar 25: To ensure that the adequate utilities are well placed and to strengthen the preparedness for combating COVID-19 infections, District Magistrate, Kishtwar, Rajinder Singh Tara, today inspected the Kendriya Vidyalaya school, NHPC Hospital, Semina Colony, Kishtwar, DIET, Kishtwar and the Medical hospitals at the various security establishments where the upcoming institutional quarantines are to be established to augment administrative quarantine facilities in the district.
He was accompanied by Additional District Development commissioner Mohd Hanief Malik, Additional Deputy Commissioner Pawan Parihar among others.
The administrative quarantine will serve the purpose of providing additional 200 beds for which the procurement of beddings and other allied essentials like buckets, jugs, towels etc had been made by the district administration.
“Anybody unnecessarily venturing out of home shall be dealt with stringent action," District Magistrate warned the people and also appealed the people of Kishtwar to cooperate with administration and follow the 21-day nationwide lockdown announced by the PM religiously by staying at home, maintaining social distancing and not venturing out on roads and streets.
