Rahul questions very little Covid-19 tests

NEW DELHI, Apr 4: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday joined a large number of Twitter handlers making fun of Prime Minister Modi's call to switch off lights Sunday night and light diyas, candles and torches. He tweeted: "Making people clap & shining torches in the sky isn't going to solve the problem of the coronavirus."
India is simply not testing enough to fight the #COVID19 virus, he said, giving statistics of some countries and asking "Why is Indian testing so low?" Because PM does not care, said the Congress on its website.
Meanwhile, Congress chief spokesman Randeep Singh Surjewala referred to the export of masks, sanitisers and ventilators permitted by the government till March 19 and 24 and tweeted: "Even more shocking is the fact that govt permitted export of diagnostic equipment till date."
Asking "who is weakening the fight," he underlined that "testing & diagnostics are imperative in fight against #Covid-19."
There have been 75,000 tests in India so far, though they are not even a fraction of 130 crore population. Here is the comparison:
