JAMMU, May 30: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) on Saturday termed Modi 2.0 as a Government of ‘mis-governance’ bringing economic crisis in the country and miseries for JK youth.
“While economy of the country was struggling, the Modi government dedicated itself to destroying the social and secular fabric of society. It blatantly attacked the very foundations of the Constitution and democracy and weekend the federal structure of the country,” Ravinder Sharma, Chief Spokespersons, JKPCC here said on Saturday.
In a statement,He said that one year of Modi 2.0 in continuation of five years, has proved to be worst as the economic structure of the country has totally shattered, unemployment and prices are on the peak .
Sharma added that Coronoa Virus hit the world in 2020 now but in its first term also, Modi government took wrong decisions like demonetisation and disoriented GST which brought economy of the country on weakest phase.
Reacting on completion of one year of Prime Minister headed Government at the Centre, Sharma said, “the economic structure has gone worst day by day due to poor economic policy and there seems no hopes of its revival.”
The former legislator said, “due to weak economic policies, unemployment and inflation has added manifold in the country,” he said and further alleged that on social front as well, the Modi headed Government remained a failure, which triggered chaos across the Nation.
However, downgrading the glorious Jammu and Kashmir State to the stature of Union Territory was another ‘big blunder’ made by his Government, he said and added, “the historical state lost its identity after it was downgraded to UT. Modi Government has hurt the sentiments of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.”
Sharma slamming the Centre for having no policy for youth of Jammu and Kashmir said, “the Government lacks vision for J&K youth and they have no policy for them either its J&K Bank recruitment, SRO 202 or regularization of daily wagers.”
He said that the promise made that no one will lose its job due to prevailing crisis (COVID-19) is merely “eyewash”.
“The curbs laid after abrogation of Article 370 still exists and many leaders of mainstream political parties are under detention due to which the political activity has shrunk in Jammu and Kashmir,” he said terming the Government at the Centre as “disastrous”.
“Each and every institution is being used to further the political purposes of the BJP rather than for nation-building,” he said adding that the Constitution was subverted when the state of Jammu and Kashmir was divided and downgraded, taking the entire country by surprise.
This move destroyed the state politically and economically. The entire state was put under an unprecedented curfew, citizens' rights were taken away and hundreds of leaders, including former chief ministers and other top leaders of Congress and other mainstream parties were arrested or detained without any justification, which will always be remembered in the history of Indian democracy, he added.
