MHA okays promotion of 2009 batch IPS officers in J&K

JAMMU, July 3: Ministry of Home Affairs has given green Signal for promoting 2009 batch IPS Officers in J&K as I/C DIGs.
Highly placed sources told that Ministry of Home Affairs has given green signal to promote 2009 batch IPS Officers Rahul Malik, Shailendra Mishra and Imtiyaz Parray, in a meeting where LG J&K GC Murmu, Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla and Chief Secretary BVR Subrahmanyam were present.
Sources told that most likely in month of July, DPC will be chaired by Chief Secretary J&K, where three Officers of 2009 batch are likely to be promoted as Incharge DIGs.
Experts of Police matters told that there is shortage of more than 15 DIG rank Officers in J&K and if JKPS Officers of 1999 batch are not inducted into IPS till then , due to some Allotment year issue ( which is likely to be cleared soon) , if not then three IPS Officers of 2010 Batch Rayees Bhatt, Sridhar Patil and Rajiv Pandey can also be promoted as incharge DIGs.
