Did PM really visit Leh hospital?

NEW DELHI, July 4: The Defence Ministry stepped in on Saturday to clarify about a visit of Prime Minister Modi to a frontline general hospital at Leh on Friday after the question marks were raised on the photo interacting with the soldiers wounded in Galwan valley fight, after it was pointed out that the facility so visited could not be a hospital as it was without any medical equipment, no signs of injuries, no doctors, no nurses, no treatment going on.
It rather looks like all healthy soldiers doing yoga and the instructor guiding them.
The ministry clarified that the soldiers were not in any regular ward of the hospital, but in a hall which is otherwise normally used as a Training Audio Video Hall converted into a ward to accommodate the injured braves, who were kept there since arrival from Galwan to ensure quarantined from the Covid areas since the hospital has been designated as Covid treatment hospital.
The ministry clarified that the said facility is part of the Crisis Expansion capacity of 100 beds and is very much part of the General Hospital complex.
