CRPF jawan injured in IED blast on Srinagar-Pulwama road

SRINAGAR, July 5: A CRPF jawan was injured in a low intensity Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast on Srinagar-Pulwama road in south Kashmir today.
The injured was identified as Constable GD Dass of 182 battalion of CRPF.
Official sources said that the militants detonated a low intensity IED when a Road Opening Party of CRPF was being deployed for movement of convoy in Gangoo area in Pulwama.
The injured was rushed to a hospital.
“The jawan has received an injury on his hand,” they further said, adding that the entire area has been sealed and a massive search operation has been launched to nab the militants responsible for the blast.
