SRINAGAR, July 18: Three of the primary contacts of a Covid-19 positive patient from Hazratbal area on the outskirts of Srinagar, Saturday, in a bid to avoid being shifted to a quarantine centre, abandoned their home thus creating a chaos and confusion among other residents living in the area.

“Everyone in our locality is worried about their safety. We are in a tight grip of fear. We appeal the authorities to treat the female patient better but at the same time ensure her other family members are traced at earliest,” Rameez Ahmad, a Dhobighat resident told media
The residents also appealed the Director Health Services Kashmir to carry out mass testing in the area to ascertain how many people have contracted the deadly virus so far.
