NEW DELHI, July 30: The Supreme Court on Thursday rejected a PIL seeking a CBI probe into the death of Bollywood star Sushant Singh Rajput(34) in his Bandra residence in Mumbai on June 14. He was found hanging from a ceiling fan.
The Mumbai Police probing the death should be allowed to do the job and if there is something, a plea be filed before the Bombay High Court, said a Bench headed by Chief Justice Sharad Arvind Bobde, with Justices A S Bopanna and V Ramasubramanian.
"Go to Bombay High Court if you have anything concrete to show," the Bench told the lawyer for PIL petitioner Alka Priya of Patna.
Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty, a close friend of Sushant on Wednesday moved the Supreme Court seeking transfer of an FIR by his father from Patna to Mumbai and the stay on the investigation by the Bihar police on the allegations that she abetted “suicide” of his actor son.
