Need to instill confidence of common people in democracy: L-G

SRINAGAR, Aug 7: Former member parliament, Manoj Sinha, who took oath as the 2nd Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory on Friday, promised to bring peace, end militancy, and to ensure development by all means in the UT which he said was his mission.
“I have been provided a chance to play a role in J&K, which is India’s heaven and crown. 5th August is a historic day will be remembered for times to come. I am here to take forward the process of Development with full vigor and during my brief meet with some officials they informed me that in the past one year, there has been a lot of development in all sectors,” said Sinha.
Sinha added that there is a need to instill confidence among the common people of J&K in democracy.
“I am not here with any specific agenda and there will be no partiality. I will an equal treatment to all and work for the welfare of people of J&K. Apart from being in touch with the common people, I will remain in constant touch with the media too. My job will be a timely redressal of the grievances of the people,” Sinha added.
