NEW DELHI, Oct 22: The postal employees in Group 'C' and non-gazetted Group 'B' will get the productivity-linked bonus (PLB) for 2019-20 equivalent to 60 days, says a notification issued by the department of Posts under the Ministry of Communications on Thursday.
The notification also declares the ex-gratia bonus to the Gramin Dak Sevaks and 60 days of the ad-hoc payment of bonuss to the full-time casual labourers having the temporary status.
It clarified that the emoluments will include basic pay, dearness pay, S.B. allowance, deputation allowance, dearness allowance and training allowance. The PLB will be calculated on the basis of the formula of average emoluments x number of days of bonus, treating 30.4 as the average number of days in a month, though the emoluments will be restricted to Rs 7,000 per month, irrespective of the salary exceeding this amount.
EPFO STAFF: In a separate order issued on Thursday, the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) also directed payment of the productivity linked bonus for 60 days for the year 2019-20 in all its offices, saying the payment is to be released to all Group 'C' and non-gazetted Group 'B' employees. The formula for assessing the quantum of bonus is the same as in case of the postal employees: average emoluments x 60 divided by 30.4 (average number of days in a month).
