Govt suspends ARTO Kishtwar for not complying to orders

JAMMU, Nov 21: Jammu and Kashmir Government today placed Incharge ARTO, Kishtwar, Ramesh Samotra under suspension for not complying to the Government order.
Pertinent to mention here that vide Govt order No. 35-JK(TR) of 2020 dated 27-7-2020, Romesh Kumar Samotra I/C ARTO Reasi was transferred and posted as I/C ARTO Kishtwar, relieving I/C ARTO Doda of the additional charge of the post & usual in the order, it was mentioned that all the transferees were deemed to have been relieved with immediate effect.
But, the boss Samotra instead of joining his new place of posting, approached CAT and brought stay by allegedly mis-representing facts.
Commissioner/ Secretary to the Government, Hirdesh Kumar Singh taking serious note of the issue, pending an inquiry, placed I/C ARTO, Romesh Samotra under suspension and attached him to the office of Regional Transport Officer, Jammu till further orders.
