Mobile internet suspended in Pulwama, Shopian

SRINAGAR, Nov 28: Mobile internet services were suspended in the twin districts of South Kashmir in the wake of District Development Council Elections.
According to a local news agency, KNT, the people were deprived of availing internet benefits in Pulwama and Shopian due to DDC elections in these twin districts.
Today, DDC polls and Panchayat by-elections began in parts of Jammu and Kashmir amid tight security arrangements.
The report quoted unnamed police sources as saying that the internet service and Pulwama and Shopian were suspended due to security reasons. Sources added that the service will be restored after the culmination of polls, KNT said.
