Petrol,diesel prices continue to soar

NEW DELHI, Feb, 17: Petrol and diesel prices rose again for the ninth consecutive day in the domestic market on Wednesday, despite the stabilization of international crude oil prices.
According to Indian Oil Corporation, the country's leading oil marketing company, petrol and diesel prices have been increased by 25 paise per litre in the capital Delhi. After this increase, petrol in Delhi has gone up by 25 paise to Rs 89.54 per litre. Diesel also rose by 25 paise to Rs 79.95 per litre. Petrol and diesel prices have reached record highs. Currently, the prices of both fuels have reached the highest levels in almost every city in the country.
The new year has not been good for petroleum fuel products and so far in January and February, petrol has gone up by 21 days, but in the same number of days it has gone up by Rs 5.70. Along with petrol, the price of diesel is also on the way to a record high. Diesel has also gone up by Rs 06.08 per litre in 21 days in the new year.
