Banihal train service resumes partially

SRINAGAR,Feb 22: On Monday, Banihal-Baramulla train service was partially restored after being suspended for almost 11 months. It may be recalled that train service in Kashmir was shut down on March 19 last year due to coronavirus.
According to officials, the train service resumed partially today when a train from Baramulla to Banihal and another train from Banihal to Baramulla resumed.
The sources further said that although the number of passengers was not high on the first day, it is expected to increase. The public is also expecting that the full restoration of service will not take long.
