Chopper makes emergency landing due to snag in Reasi

JAMMU, Feb 24: A chopper carrying Jammu and Kashmir government officials including a Secretary rank officer made an emergency landing in Reasi district in Jammu division after a technical snag.
According to an ANI bulletin, an official said that a Pawan Hans chopper carrying Sheetal Nanda, Secretary Rural Development and Panchayati Raj J&K made an emergency landing at Ram Leela Ground in Jyotipuram area of Reasi.
He said that the chopper was going from Jammu to Kishtwar but was forced to make an emergency landing due to technical problem. All passengers on-board are safe, they added. Further details are awaited. An official told that a Pawan Hans chopper made an emergency landing at Jyotipuram area of Reasi.
“There was some technical fault that forced pilots to go for emergency landing in vacant area enroute,” the official said. He added that a total of five persons were onboard the helicopter and all are safe.
