Arms recovered in Karnah

SRINAGAR, Mar 29: Security forces today recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition in Dhani village along the Line of Control (LoC) in border town of Karnah north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), acting upon specific inputs indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir police on late hours of Sunday launched a joint operation in Dhani village of Karnah north Kashmir.
During the operation security forces recovered a cache of arms and ammunition including five AK rifles and seven pistal with a host of magzines and ammunitions.
Terming the recovery of weapons near the LoC a big success, a police official said that the operation was conducted in very close proximity of the line of control in Dhani village which is under direct observation of Pakistan Army posts in Lipa valley.
In last two years a total of 16 weapons and over 50 Kg of narcotics has been recovered from border town Karnah, official said.
