Massive Fire Leaves 6 Families Homeless

SRINAGAR, Apr 8: A massive fire in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district left at least six families homeless after a devastating massive fire incident turned their residential houses into ashes in DamhalHanjipora area of Kulgam district on Tuesday morning.
Meanwhile Tehsildar DamhalHanjipora, Niyaz Ahmad Bhat while confirming the incident to CNS said that the residential houses belonging to six brothers at Watigam were reduced to ashes after massive fire broke out in one of the houses which rapidly expanding to the nearby houses resulting in complete damage to two structures.
He added that the devastating fire left families of Jahangir Ahmad, Ashraf Ahmad, Mohammad Aslam, Mohammad Yousuf sons of Abdullah Dar and Mohammad Yousuf, Mubarak Ahmad sons of Ghulam Hassan Parrray of Watigam homeless as their houses were completely damaged in the incident.
They said whatever they had inherited has gone as the fire turned everything into ashes within seconds.
Meanwhile, Tehsildar DamhalHanjipora, Niyaz Ahmad Bhat along with other officers took stock of the damaged structures and assured affected families of providing all possible help for immediate relief.
