Administration inaccessible to people: PDP

Dialogue only way to resolve complex issues : Choudhary

JAMMU, June 23: Asserting that problems of general masses have only compounded in last few years, People’s Democratic Party today flayed administration for being completely inaccessible to people.
“The administration need to come out of concrete walls and revolving chairs and access situation on the ground”, PDP Vice President Abdul Hameed Chaudhary said adding that in absence of democratically elected government the administration has to play more active role in understanding and resolving the issues of masses.
Choudhary was addressing a meeting of senior party functionaries here today.
Expecting optimism over the All Party meet to be held in New Delhi tomorrow, he said that his Party has always advocated dialogue to be the only way to resolve complex issues. He said that the regional parties have also shown magnanimity by accepting the invitation despite arm twisting measures by state and central agencies against every political activist of Jammu and Kashmir in last two years.
He said that the state is caught in a blizzard and the need of the hour requires us to give a combined response to the challenges the state is facing particularly on its identity. He said the people are feeling alienated in their own land in wake of the absence of any popular government in the state.
He said that the common masses are facing lot of problems due to non-existence of elected government. Their plights are going unheard and l are fed up with the present system as nobody listens to them.
He hoped that the issues of Jammu will also be raised in the meeting and the entire process results into some serious changes on the ground.
Amrik Singh Reen, General Secretary, PDP, J&K, in his address said that the need of the hour calls for restoring a popular government in the state that has been limping towards the full realization of democracy in wake of the persistent tumultuous situation and a long spell of governor’s rule. But the biggest challenge is the identity and dignity of JK which was snatched from us in August, 2019.
The participants also mourned the sad demises of Ex Session Judge S.S Sarangal and Zahida Sabir Choudhary. They observed two minutes silence and prayed to Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed souls and also give strength to the family members to bear this irreparable loss.
Among others who were present in the meeting included PAC Member Firdous Tak ( EX MLC), Additional General Secretary Rashid Malik, State Secretary Rajinder Manhas, State Secretary Ashok Jogi and others.
