2 killed in Kupwara road mishap

SRINAGAR, Jun 24: Two persons were killed in a road accident in Jabri Karnah area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara District
Sources told CNS that the accident happened when a Sumo rolled off the road and fell into a deep gorge, an official said.
The Sumo was on its way to Jabri to Tangdhar and the accident took place near Lower Jabri around 11 am when its driver lost control over the vehicle, the officials said.
However, a team of rescuers, including police, local volunteers, swung into action soon after the vehicle rolled down into 200 feet deep gorge.
Meanwhile two persons, including a child were dead on the spot and others were rescued in a critical condition to sub-district hospital Kulgam.
