MAM College wins gold in Foil team event

JAMMU, Sep 3: Govt. M.A.M College team defeated GDC Udhampur by 15-4 points and won the gold medal in Foil team event in the ongoing Inter Collegiate Fencing tournament being organised by Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu at its Gymnasium Hall.
Foil team men: Govt. M.A.M College team beats GDC Udhampur by 15-4 points and won the gold medal.
Saujanya Chib (MAM) beat Sandeep Singh (GDC Udhampur) by 5-1 points Satish Kumar (MAM) beat Surinder Singh (Udhampur) by 5-0 points Tariq Ahmed (MAM) beat Chahat Singh (Udhampur) by 5-4 points.
1st & 2nd bronze medals goes to MIET Jammu and GDC Reasi respectively.
Women Sabre individual: Monika Sharma of P.G. Department, University of Jammu beat Diksha Sharma of GWC Parade by 10-3 points.
1st and 2nd bronze goes to Upasana Khajuria of GWC Parade and Gunjan Vaid respectively of the same college.
Foil Individual Women: Shreya Chib (10 points) GWC Parade, Pooja Devi (07 points) GWC Parade and Rupali Sharma (MIET Jammu) & Prinka Sharma (GWC Parade).
Sabre Individual men: Javed Ahmed Choudhary of MAM College (15 points), Sushant Kumar of Sc. College (09 points), Javed Ahmed of MAM College and Dushyant Magotra of MIET.
The matches were officiated by Chotu Lal, Rachna Jamwal, Rashid Ahmed, Ajit Singh and Ujjawal Gupta. The final matches shall be played tomorrow at 11.00 a.m.
