Cycle Expedition: Sailab Se Salamati Tak

JAMMU, Feb 3: It was a great moment for the nineteen youth of Kashmir who are on the Cycling Expedition “Sailab Se Salamati Tak” from Srinagar to Delhi to have witnessed the Light and Sound Show at Balidan Stamb in Jammu on 02 February 2015 and interact with Major General Dushyant Singh, General Officer Commanding Tiger Division today.
The youth were inspired by the valour of the martyrs in the Light and Sound Show and were also facilitated with mementos at Tiger Division.
One of the participants, Mansoor Ahmad son of Ghulam Hassan Sheer residence of Chak Kawoosa from Badgam said that he was very thankful to the Indian Army for this expedition and added that it was the effort of the Indian Army that the people of the valley were rescued, they were provided food, medical aid and other facilities during the flood rescue in Operation Megh Rahat.
There are nineteen youth under Major Vishesh Arora, who will cover a distance of approximately 975 Kms in eleven days. In Delhi, the youth will be interacting with General Dalbir Singh, Chief of the Army Staff and also attending “Mushaira”, as part of the literary festival of Hindu college centered around Kashmir.
