Omar elected NCLP leader unanimously

JAMMU, Feb 6: Omar Abdullah was on Friday elected as Leader of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Legislature party (NCLP) unanimously.
At a specially convened meeting of the newly elected Members of the Legislative Assembly here this afternoon, Ali Mohammed Sagar proposed the name of Omar Abdullah while Devender Singh Rana seconded it. The members endorsed the candidature of Omar unanimously.
On being elected as the Leader of Legislature Party, Abdullah was profusely garlanded and greeted by the Members. Mian Altaf Ahmed was elected as Chief Whip of the Legislature Party.
