Massive landslides in Pancheri, 6 families migrate to safety

UDHAMPUR, Feb 7: Six families comprising 34 souls migrated to safer places and the houses of their relatives following massive landslide in Meer village of Pancheri in Udhampur district, today.
Half-a-dozen houses were damaged and at-least 100 kanal land was eroded due to landslide in Meer village since last night and the people putting up in these houses migrated to safer places and the houses of their relatives
However, none of the officers from civil administration visited the village or provided any succor to the affected families.
It was also learnt that landslide continued today also due to which several other houses developed cracks causing panic among the villagers.
It is notable to mention here that 31 people died and scores of families were affected in landslide in the same block on September 7, 2014.
