BJP not withdrawing support: Nirmal

NEW DELHI, Mar 10 (Agencies): Stating that the present coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir is stable, deputy chief minister Dr Nirmal Singh ruled out BJP withdrawing the support to the PDP led government.
He was briefly talking to media persons after meeting BJP president Amit Shah. Party general secretary Ram Madhav was also present at the meeting. Nirmal Singh was summoned by the BJP leadership to discuss the political situation arising out of the release of Masrat Alam.
Later talking to media persons after the meeting the deputy chief minister said,” PDP-BJP coalition government is stable.” Asked whether BJP will withdraw support to the Mufti Mohammad Sayeed led government, he said,” No BJP is not withdrawing the support.”
Nirmal Singh said he was in New Delhi to discuss various issues related to J&K with his party leadership.
Nation TV news channels quoting sources claimed BJP has reportedly warned its Jammu and Kashmir ally Mufti Mohammad Sayeed: "Mend your ways or we will end the alliance."
BJP president Amit Shah summoned party leader Nirmal Singh, who is the state's Deputy Chief Minister, and asked him to deliver a stern message to Mufti and his PDP, say sources.
The BJP reportedly said that it would not sacrifice its ideology for the sake of power. "Next time, there will be consequences," Nirmal Singh was reportedly asked to tell the PDP.
The sources said a strong message was PDP-“Our priority is not government. There will be no compromise either on national security or Common Minimum Programme (CMP). Ideology will not be sacrificed," the sources said.
