Landmine detected in Balakote

MENDHAR, Mar 11: Border Security Force (BSF) claimed to have detected a landmine near Forward Post Dogra in Balakote sub-sector of Mendhar in Poonch district, today.
Official reports said that jawans of 138 Battalion BSF during patrolling detected a landmine near Forward Post Dogra in Balakote sub-sector of Mendhar in Poonch district, this morning. They informed troops of 15 Dogra Regiment who defused it at around 1.30 PM.
However, it was not yet ascertained whether the mine belonged to Indian army or any other agency. The recent rains washed away several landmines in the area.
