J&K BJP leaders’ meet on Jul 12, 13 in New Delhi

JAMMU, Jul 4: The BJP President Amit Shah will be convening two day meeting of BJP leaders from J&K on July 12 and 13 in the union capital.
According to party sources, this will be a kind of review meeting wherein the performance of BJP ministers and legislators will be put to scrutiny in the light of inputs received from the party office bearers who too will attend the meet. Besides they will be given directions vis-à-vis chalking out strategy to deal with the alliance partner PDP in the state, particularly on the issues on which both the partners hold contradictory viewpoint.
“The meeting is significant in the sense as it will seek feedback from the party leadership in Jammu and Kashmir about the present status of coalition, recent political developments, irritants within the coalition and party’s relations with the PDP. Also future course of action shall also be decided in the meet,” sources said.
BJP spokesman has also confirmed that the meeting is taking place in New Delhi on July 12. He said that the meet was aimed to strengthen the party’s functioning in Jammu and Kashmir with the latest developments also being discussed by the party leadership.
