'Dulat collusive mindset is to defame freedom movement, spread confusion'

SRINAGAR, July 4: While terming the revelation of the former RAW chief A S Dulat about the Kashmiri leadership in his new book as a bundle of lies, Hurriyat Conference (G) said that to remain in news even after the retirement Dulat has written a book based on “absolute lies and his mental artifice and by doing this he has actually once again tried to utilise his professional skills to create confusion, untrustworthiness and chaos.”
While terming the statement “PDP is the creation of Geelani Sahab and Mufti Sayeed” as ridicules and blatant lie, Hurriyat (G) spokesman said, “PDP is not the creation of Geelani Sahab but it was setup by the Indian secret agencies and Hurriyat has got this information from the reliable sources that the decision regarding the creation of this party was taken at the residence of a top IB officer. Personality of Dulat is well known to everybody in Kashmir that he is a person having collusive mindset to defame the Kashmir freedom movement and spread confusion and lies about it has been his prime goal for which he had earned a good repute in the corridors of New Delhi and for which he is enjoying perks and luxuries.”
According to the spokesman, Dulat during his service as a RAW chief tried his best to meet Geelani “but his desires could not get matured and he left defeated”.
“And now he gave vent to his anger and has fabricated lies about Geelani Sahab that he helped in making PDP. However, by airing such lies Dulat has actually made his own position contradictory and odd because he has many times in the past also made claims about Geelani sahib that he neither likes hypocrisy nor can he be ready to make any type of compromise with India. Baseless and fabricated allegations which Dulat has leveled against the Hizb Chief Syed Salah-ud-Din Sahab and the explanation in this regard by his son Dr. Adbul Wahid clearly indicate that the memory and the mental condition of Dulat has weakened with his growing age and he is now airing such news which has no relation with the reality,” he said.
“He (Dulat) actually wants to damage the image of trustworthy and honest leadership of Kashmir but he will never succeed in achieving that aim. People who had exhausted their whole life in the struggle and had spent their lives in imprisonments and exiles, those great souls are beyond the imagination and ill-mentality of a retired policeman,” the spokesman added.
While terming the statement of Dulat of connecting the creation of PDP with Geelani as ridiculous and a Himalayan lie, he said, “Mufti Sayeed has been an Indian by conviction from the very first day of his political career and as compared to other pro-Indian politicians he had proved to be more dangerous and fatal for the collective national interests of the Kashmiris so, there is no question of any soft corner for him or his party.”
“Hurriyat Conference has continuously claimed from 2002 that PDP is the creation of the Indian secret agencies and its creation was a deep conspiracy against the freedom movement of Kashmir. Green flag and inkpot/pen as election symbol was also an idea of the policy makers of India and its purpose was to confuse and puzzle the general public of Kashmir like they did in the past when they deceived the common people by showing them green hanky and Pakistani salt. Dulat has made fun of himself by saying that Mufti Sayeed came into power with the help and co-operation of Geelani Sahab. If Geelani Sahab and other pro-freedom leaders had not been imprisoned in homes and jails at the time of election drama and they would had been given a chance to present their stand before the people with regarding to these election dramas then the political situation in Kashmir would have been quite different and Dulat could not have got any chance to say such ridiculous things,” he added.
