Most in India thought Modi would step out of the plane in Delhi, with the Kohinoor diamond. Some even thought he would set in on his turban and walk with the sun glistening on it. They are disappointed he didn't try. According to the chief butler who allegedly discussed it with a chamber maid, who has an aunt in Chennai, and who was in attendance at the meal hosted by the queen, he did try. "What are you looking at Mr Prime Minister, you are staring at my head?" said the queen.
"Oh I am so sorry you do have a lovely forehead your majesty!"
"What a lovely thing to say. Philip, did you hear what this wonderful man from, from, where are you from Prime Minister?"
"India!" said the Prime Minister stiffly, "Everybody knows I am from India, Obama knows, the German chancellor knows, the French president knows!"
"The French president is from Holland isn't he? It's so strange having a president from Holland to rule France rather like you have an Italian ruling India!"
"No dear," said Philip quickly, "Hollande is the name of the French president, he's not from Holland!"
"Nor does any Italian rule India!" roared the Prime Minister, "I rule! Didn't you hear people on the streets shouting my name?"
"Slightly deaf, both of us, ole chap!" said the prince in jest.
"I am not an old chap," said the Prime Minister. "I keep my hair white, because it makes me look wise!"
"Yes, yes that's true!" said the queen to herself.
"What's true dear?" asked the prince.
"That some people need to look wise by keeping their hair white!" said the queen absent mindedly looking at the white hair, "Never colour it black Prime Minister, you may lose the next elections if you do!"
"Stop looking at his hair!" said the prince kindly to the queen his wife.
"Yes, stop looking at my hair!" said the prime minister angrily.
"You started it!" screamed the queen.
"Started what?" asked the prince consort gently to his wife.
"He started looking at my head first! Tell him to stop looking at my head and I will stop looking at his!"
"Stop looking at her head!" said the prince to the prime minister.
"Silly head!" muttered an angry prime minister to himself and in his anger forgot what he'd wanted from the queen's head that had made him look there in the first place!
After hearing what the butler had allegedly told the maid, the people of India sighed; the prime minister's temper had made him lose the diamond, as his angry words had lost him Bihar..!
