DC issues avalanche warning in Poonch

POONCH, Feb 11: In the wake of heavy snowfall in the higher reaches of Pir Panjal range in the district, Deputy Commissioner, Mohammed Harun Malik has advised the people not to venture into avalanche-prone areas to avoid any untoward incident.
Meanwhile, the DC has issued directions to the concerned officers to activate their men and machinery and ensure that there is no disruption of essential services, power and water supply, health care services etc. and that there is no shortage of food grains and other essential commodities in the district especially in hilly snow prone areas of Surankote and Mandi tehsils.
