CM joins congregational prayers at Hazratbal

SRINAGAR, Jul 1: Chief minister Mehbooba Mufti today joined thousands of devotees from across the State to offer congregational Jumat-ul-Vida prayers at the historic Hazratbal shrine here, which houses the holy relic of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). She offered the prayers in the special women’s section of the Dargah.
Minister for education, Naeem Akhtar, Vice-Chairman Wakaf Board, Peer Mohammad Hussain and Legislator, Anjum Fazili also joined the congregational prayers at the Hazratbal shrine.
The chief minister interacted with the devotees and extended Jumat-ul-Vida greetings to them.
She urged the people present there to pray for peace of the State and prosperity of its people.
