Peaceful bandh observed by Muslim community in Rajouri

RAJOURI, Aug 27: Taking a serious notice of large scale violation of human rights and killings of innocent Kashmiri youths in valley, a complete bandh was observed by Muslim community in district Rajouri.
The band call given by Muslim religious leaders and fully supported by businessmen of entire district went peacefully except some protests at Majakote and Koteranka.
As per reports, all the business establishments and transport remain off the roads for the whole day while none of the shops of Muslim community were found opened in Rajouri city, Gujjar Mandi, Panja Chowk, Salani, Kheora area of Rajouri city and traffic was also off the road.
Meanwhile, similar peaceful bandh was also observed in Budhal, Kotranka, Thannamandi, Darhal and Manjakote tehsils of district Rajouri against Kashmir killings and unrest.
Protests broke out in Kotranka area and Manjakote areas during bandh wherein people came on roads and lodged strong protest against state and center government who failed to keep a check on human rights violations and civilian killings in Kashmir valley. People warned state as well as center government not to play with the sentiments of people and do not use guns against peaceful protesters and try to handle the situation with talks.
No untoward incident was reported from anywhere during the bandh and everything remain normal.
It is pertinent to mention here that this is second band call given by Muslim community of Rajouri against atrocities committed in Kashmiri people by forces.
Earlier, peaceful bandh was observed about a fortnight ago.
