Mirwaiz shifted to Chesmashahi sub jail

SRINAGAR, Aug 27: Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has been shifted from Nigeen police station to Chesmashi sub-jail.
He was arrested yesterday from his Nigeen residence as he tried to march towards Eidgah, venue for separatist march. Mirwaiz was lodged at Nigeen police station and shifted to Chesmashahi sub-jail late last evening.
Hurriyat (M) and Syed Ali Shah Geelani, chairman Hurriyat (G) has strongly condemned the arrest.
