Suspect arrested on Ramgarh border

JAMMU, Oct 21: Military Intelligence (MI) and Police claimed to have arrested a suspect while he was moving under suspicious circumstances near International Border (IB) and recovered some maps of Border Security Force (BSF) Border out Posts (BoPs), two mobile phones used by him to talk across the border in Pakistan and some cash, in Ramgarh sector of Samba district.
He has been identified by official sources as Bodh Raj, son of Harbans Lal of Arnia.
Official sources said that based on specific information, Military Intelligence (MI) and Police conducted joint raids in border area following inputs of movement of a suspect in Ramgarh sector, last night. They nabbed Bodh Raj and recovered some maps of BSF Posts, two mobile phones and some cash from his possession.
He was ailing at the time he was apprehended from near IB and was hospitalized under tight security arrangements. It was learnt during his brief questioning that he was imprisoned in Punjab in heroin smuggling case for ten years and was released recently. He admitted to have been in contact with some smugglers across the border in Pakistan from last few days, sources added.
