The lies of cashless transactions

Kashmir Times. Dated: 1/23/2017 2:41:25 PM

Dear Editor,
On 8th November, the PM Narendra Modi announced demonetisation of high currency notes of Rs 1000 and Rs 500 demonetisation in the name of unearthing black money, taming corruption and curb terrorism replacing yet more high demonetisation of Rs 2000 and Rs 500 without assessing before hand to consequences of such a shocking announcement.
The high currency notes constitute about 86% of total currency in circulation in our country leaving just 14% to fill the gap as circulation of new demonetisation notes took a long time to come in the market. The people thus suffered a lot leaving over 100 people dead while standing in long queues for hours rather days together to get old notes replaced or deposited in banks or lack of medicare treatment in absence of cash in hand. the PM made yet another Shahi Farman of cashless transactions replacing over 97% transactions being made in cash in our country. No where in the world there is total cashless transaction is pravailant not even in highly developed countries like USA and UK who knows what is next in store for the people who have come of the previous shocks as they are not allowed to avail the facilities of drawal of their cash from the banks and post offices etc. as per their needs and still such drawals are subject to the wishes and whims of the central government or the Reserve Bank of India guided by the Union Government.
The situation is just like the couplet as under:-
No Tarapne Ki Ijazat Na Faryad Ke Hai
Yun Hi Ghut Ke Mar Jaun Yeh Marzi Mere Sayaad Ke Hai
—Krishan Singh,
Talab Tillo,
Jammu.
