Shutdown in some areas of south Kashmir

SRINAGAR, Feb 14: Normal life was affected in some areas of Kulgam and Pulwama districts on the second consecutive day today against the Kulgam killings.
Shops and business establishments remained closed and roads wore a deserted look.
Youths assembled near bus stand Tral and pelted stones on vehicles and tried to hold protest. The large deployment of police and CRPF did not allow the protesters to hold the protest.
The security forces and police fired smoke shells towards the protesters. The youths pelted stones towards the forces.
The police and CRPF had made number of mobile bunkers where the private vehicles were checked of pedestrians are been carried out through the day.
In several areas of Pulwama and Kulgam, the streets were given a deserted look. Only CRPF and police cops were deployed in every nock and corner to maintain law and order.
Only some road side vendors had installed few stall and the pedestrian movement was very thin in Pulwama.
