Jagjit Kumar takes over as new IGP Traffic
JAMMU, Feb 16: Jagjit Kumar today assumed the charge as Inspector General of Police, Traffic J&K, relieving Shafqat Ali Watali of the additional charge.

Soon after assuming his office, Jagjit Kumar visited different sections of Traffic Headquarters (THQ) and held a meeting with senior officers to discuss measures for streamlining the traffic movement in the State. Later, IGP had a round of Jammu City to take a review of city Traffic.

Kumar has earlier served the State in different capacities including SP Ganderbal, Traffic, Vigilance, CIK and Poonch, DIG Udhampur Range, Traffic Kashmir and Security J&K.
