J&K Police organises “Run for Fun” competition at Ramban

RAMBAN, March 29: Under Civic Action Programme district police organised “Run For Fun” ” here today .
The programme was started from Maitra Chowk Ramban and culminated at DPL Ramban. Large No. of students/citizens participated in the “Run For Fun” event.
In male category, Rajesh Kumar received (1st Prize), Basat Vikar 2nd Prize and Saqleen Mushtaq received (3rd Prize). Besides, Shito Devi, Shawita Devi and Shruti Devi shared top three positions in female category respectively.
Mohal Lal SSP Ramban flagged of the “Run for Fun ” from Maitra Chowk. Other officer’s presents in the event were Mushtaq Ahmed (Addl SP Ramban), Suresh Kumar Garewal (Asstt. Commandant 160 BN) CRPF D- Coy, Imtiaz Ahmed (DY.SP HQRS Ramban), Rakesh Kumar Gupta (DY.SP DAR Ramban) and Gurpreet Singh (Tehsildar Ramban).
SSP Mohan Lal appealed the participants took part in curricular activities which are necessary for their health.
IRP 3rd Battalion Parihaspora has also organized cross country event with the theme “Run For Fun”.
The race was flagged off by Commandant IRP 3rd Bn Mehraj-ud-Din.
111 youth from the adjacent areas including 51 students of various schools of Zone Nihalpora participated in the event. The event was witnessed by respectable citizens of Dever and Yekhmanpora villages.
The race started from Dever crossing and ended at Parihaspora Monastery.
Commandant IRP 3rd Bn Mehraj-ud-din along with Adjutant IRP 3rd Bn Mohammad Younis Bhat distributed the trophies and certificates among the winners and participants.
