They were raising slogans against the civilian killings and against the state government of its alleged failure in protecting lives of civilians.
Talking to media persons before being arrested Rashid accused New Delhi of giving a free hand to security forces to kill Kashmiris and treating every Kashmiri as its enemy.
He said sense of accountability was a distant dream within security forces and civil administration had become a rubber stamp for security forces. “Fed up with the destiny of so called enquiry commissions now nobody even seeks a probe and even condoling deaths has turned irrelevant. The claims of security forces being disciplined forces have become a joke and both police and army have lost the moral battle to those whom they call outlaws, he said.
Rashid said that sooner or later international community would see the brutal face of New Delhi against non-violent Kashmiris.
