Malik’s remand extended for 14 days, sent to Srinagar central jail

SRINAGAR, Mar 29: Detained JKLF chairman, Mohammad Yasin Malik was today brought to a Srinagar court after the completion of his 12 day remand.
According to the statement, Malik, who has been in central Jail Srinagar for last 12 days, was today presented before 2nd additional sessions judge who extended his remand for 14 more days and ordered to sent him to Srinagar central jail.
The spokesman said the party chief was immediately shifted back to central jail after court hearing.
Meanwhile, the spokesman quoted the JKLF chief as saying, “A reign of terror has been unleashed in Kashmir and killing with impunity and jailing young and old has become an order of the day.”
JKLF chairman said all this ‘oppression’ was going on to make the “election drama” a success and all pro-India politicians, their political parties and the rulers were directly involved in these killings and other ‘oppressive measures.’
Malik while ridiculing the recent statement of Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti on Chadoora killings said, “She being the chief minister and also the home minister is actually responsible for issuing orders to forces and police.”
