Recover cost of damages from Art of Living

Dear Editor,
It refers to report of committee appointed by National Green Tribunal mentioning a loss of rupees 42.02 crores further requiring ten years to recover from huge environmental loss because of three-day event organised by Art of Living headed by Shri Shri Ravishanker who had patronage of both Central and Delhi governments with political rulers and prominent personalities gracing the occasion despite National Green Tribunal taking cognizance of environmental damage well before start of event. Patronage of high-ups in Central and Delhi governments made ultra-rich Art of Living defy paying of a nominal fine of just rupees five crores.
Now Art of Living should be directed to pay at least double the amount of rupees 42.02 crores as symbolic fine and cost to recover the environmental damage. Central and delhi governments should express regret for patronising such an event in open violation of environmental norms.
