T-20 Cricket tournament organized by Police under CAP concludes at Samba

JAMMU, Apr 17: Continuing with the mission of J&K Police, with a view to provide platform to talented youth of Sub-division R.S Pura for displaying of their talent and channelizing their energy in a positive manner and to keep them away from bad elements. Range Police Headquarter Jammu has organized a T-20 Cricket Tournament at Bana Singh Stadium, R.S Pura under Civic Action Programme. A number of teams drawn from different areas of Sub-Division R.S.Pura have participated which was inaugurated on 03.04.2017 by IGP Jammu Zone, Jammu.
Today the final match was played at Bana Singh Stadium, R.S.Pura. Dr. S.D Singh Jamwal (IGP Jammu Zone, Jammu) was the Chief Guest, Besides this, Sh. Ashkoor Ahmed Wani (DIG, JSK Range, Jammu), organizer, Sh. Sunil Gupta (SSP Jammu), Sh. Rajnish Pran (SO to DIG, Jammu), Sh. R.C Kotwal (SP Hqrs Jammu), Sh. Parshotam Sharma (DDP RPHQ Jammu), Sh. Susheel Kumar (SDM R.S Pura) and Sh. Surinder Choudhary (SDPO R.S Pura) were also present on the occasion. There was huge gathering of spectators who were anxious to witness the tournament approximately gathering was 5000 including prominent citizens, Students, Sports lover, players and media personnel.
In the final clash, Diamond Cricket Club and Stadium 11 have shown splendid performance. Earlier batting first Diamond Cricket Club set a target of 192 runs in 20 over by losing 07 wickets. In contest, Stadium 11 successfully chases the target in 19th over and declared winner of trophy. The wining team (Stadium 11) rewarded with trophy and cash of Rs. 10,000/-. The runner up team rewarded with cash Rs. 5,000/-. Pranav Gupta was declared as Man of the match. Jagjot (DCC) was declared as best batsman of the tournament who scored 156 runs in whole tournament. Monty (DCC) was declared as best bowler of tournament who took 07 wickets in whole tournament. The man of the series rewarded to Narinder (DCC) who scored 93 runs and took 05 wickets. The Umpire/scorer of this tournament Mr. Rajesh, Mr. Mukesh and Ved Raj Katoch and whereas Mr. Pardeep and Mr. Peter (Commentators of the tournament) were rewarded suitably.
