2nd Jhiri Kesari Indian Style Dangal on Apr 23: Shiv Kumar
Neha Tomar will fight with male wrestler
JAMMU, Apr 20: J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association in collaboration with Jhiri Dangal Committee is organising 2nd Jhiri Kesari Indian Style Dangal at Devsthan Jhiri on April 23.

This was disclosed by the president, Indian Style Wrestling Association Shiv Kumar Sharma while interacting with media here today.

He said that 62 wrestlers from Delhi, Harayana, Uttarkhand, Punjab, Chandigarh and J&K state are taking part in the one day historic and famous wrestling event being held in the state.

He informed that the organisers have made all necessary initiatives for successful staging of the event and ensure that the incoming men, women guest wrestlers may comfortably and in homely atmosphere in this State.

He said that the winners of the first bout will be awarded cash prize of Rs 1,50,000, while the runners up will get Rs 1,00,000 and wrestlers remained third this will awarded Rs 75,000, fourth Rs 60,000 and fifth Rs 50,000.

Prominent Wrestlers who are participating in the Dangal included Gurpal of Jallandhar (National Games Gold Medalist), Parvesh (Hind Kesari, Bharat Kesari), Anup (Bharat Kesari, Harayana Kesari), Parveen Rana (International), Sunil Chotti Wale (Harayana), Bhupinder (Ajnala), Manna (Zirakpur, Chandigarh), Vikas (Khanna), Deepak Punia (Bahadurgarh), Sachin / Kapil (Delhi), Sandeep of Harayana (Junior Bronze Medalists), he told.

Besides, Benia Min, Ishaq (Lallu), Nissar Ahmed (J&K Police), Roshan Lal Sharma (J&K Police), Amir Khan, (Bajrangi Akhara Jammu), Muneer Khan, Ajay Kumar Sharma (Udhampur), Stephen (Babba) of Kot Bhawal, Mohd. Akram of (Chouadi), Bharat Bushan (Domana), Farooq, Bobari (Sarore), Feeza (Billawar), Panku, Salman Khan (Chopra Shop), Mustaba Kamal (Bablu) of Basantgarh, Chain Singh, Balwan Singh (Reasi), Ranjit Singh (J&K Police), Man Hussian and Kaka (RS Pura) will aslso be seen in action in the competition.

He informed that women wrestlers participating in the Dangal included Neha Tomar and Ruby (Uttarkhand),Preet (Gurdasspur), Yashpreet Kour (Sangror), Kuldeep Kour and Navjeet Kour (Moga), Preeti (Rohtak), Poonam (Hissar), Mosmee Choudhery and Ravika of (Pathankot), Priya Sharma, Sanjana Sharma, Neegita Kumari, Neha Kumari and Tahmee Bhat (Reasi).
