The Election Commission of India has reportedly convened all parties meeting to discuss the issue relating to the allegation of the opposition parties that some kind of mechanism has been applied to the electric voting machine (EVM) That if a voter touch the button of a political party other than the BJP while casting his vote during elections the machine click it in favour of the BJP a party in power.

It may be recalled that at the time of introduction of this system in place of the slip system the then opposition parties including the BJP perhaps had raised doubts about the authencity of the EVM system when Congress party was in power. In a demonstration in Bhind District of Madhya Pradesh in presence of the District Magistrate and the superintendent of Police the correctness of the allegation was reportedly proved true.

In UP State, the petrol pump stations the operators were reportedly attach a chip in the electronic system attached with the system of delivering of petrol to the consumers that the people were getting less quantity of petrol against the quantity for which they have made the payment and in this way the people were cheated by crores of rupees and it became a major scandal during NDA regime when BJP is also in power in UP State.

Moreover, the Power Development Deptt in J&K State had replaced the old electric meters by the Electronics Meters and the knowledgeable people allege that when a chip is attached in the electronics meter the meter show less power consumed than the actual consumption.

After on line system introduced in banking services there are reports that saving and other Accounts of the people are being hacked by the wicked people and cyber crime are also on the rise alarmingly. It is, therefore necessary that EVM system is required to be discussed thread bare so that the people’s apprehensions are removed for good.
