DFA Ramban elects body

JAMMU, May 12: Shoaib Jeelani has been re-elected as President District Football Association (DFA) Ramban while Faizan Mir and Danish Farooq have been elected as Secretary and Treasurer.
Secretaries of 10 football clubs of the district Ramban participated in the election and it is being said that there is much for the Ramban and adjoining areas football scene to look forward to in the future.
District Football Association is affiliated with the J&K Football Association, recognized by J&K State Sports Council that works for the up-lift of the game football and its players.
Shoaib has been residing President of the association for past eight years and is again elected as President for the new term. Shoaib’s thanked the voters for putting in their trust and said, "I would like to raise the profile of Ramban football and will start registration of the local football clubs for recognition and will try to organise some football tournaments including district league tournament in Ramban District. There is a glut of talent in the far flung areas of Ramban but we lack infrastructure and other facilities like NIS coach and trainers and good grounds.
