Health Ministry ignoring representation of Jammu Dental Council: IDA

JAMMU, May 18: Dr. Bhupinder Singh, Secretary of Indian Dental Association (IDA), Jammu branch has alleged that the Health and Medical Education (HME) department is ignoring representation of IDA Jammu branch in J&K State Dental Council (JKSDC).
He said that certain people who have connections with the higher-ups in HME department are trying to get themselves nominated to the J&K State Dental Council (JKSDC). He informed that IDA Jammu is one of the oldest branch in India and having good strength of members.
Dr Singh said that Ex-President of IDA Jammu Dr.Gautam Sharma got the appreciation from IDA Head Office for his exemplary work for upliftment of oral and dental health of the society by single handedly conducting more than 225 oral health awareness camps in the year 2016.
He also said that Dy CM J&K, Prof Nirmal Singh, also appreciated the work of IDA Jammu branch during the meeting of executive body of IDA and Dy.CM. The IDA Jammu branch has also been doing social service by organising free health camps for the poor and underprivileged people.
Dr Bhupinder Singh appealed to HME minister Bali Bhagat and Secretary HME Dr Pawan Kotwal to nominate at least one member from IDA Jammu branch in the J&K State Dental Council.
