Jammu sizzles at 41.7 degrees Celsius

JAMMU, May 26: The winter capital of state Friday recorded season's second hottest day, with the maximum temperature reaching 41.7 degree Celsius, while the minimum was registered at 28.0 degrees.
“Temperature in the last few days has fluctuated between 35 degrees to 40 degrees (maximum) and 25 degrees to 26 degrees (minimum) due to a brief spell of showers,”' the weatherman here said. He said the temperature would keep soaring by June mid, with windstorm on some days. Earlier also, Jammu witnessed maximum temperature recorded at 41.7 degrees, while the maximum temperature recorded on different days previously was 41.2 and 39.2 degree, respectively. The weatherman, however, predicted partly cloudy sky for tomorrow, with the maximum and minimum temperatures settling around 39 degrees and 24 degrees, respectively.
