CRPF camp comes under attack

SRINAGAR, Jun 17: Militants today attacked a CRPF camp in Bijbehara area of Anantnag district. Policee denied the reports of the attack.
Reports said that militants fired at the SICOP (J&K Small Scale Industries Development Corporation Limited) building, housing CRPF e-coy, from a nearby karewa .
However, a police spokesman in Srinagar denied the reports of militant attack.
"It is a stray bullet fired somewhere. It is not an attack on any camp in Anantnag," he said.
Militants this evening opened fire on CRPF vehicles in Doniwari village of central Kashmir's Budgam district.
Official sources said that around five vehicles heading towards their camp in Nagam came under militant attack in Doniwari village.
"CRPF men retaliated," they said, adding there was no report of any casualties.
Following the fire exchange, youth took to streets and pelted the forces with stones.
