Eid-ul- Fitr today

SRINAGAR, Jun 25: Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated in Jammu and Kashmir tomorrow.
The announcement has been made after sighting of the moon of shawal month of Islamic calendar. Sighting of the moon marked the end of 29-day long fasting month of holy Ramzan. The moon has been sighted in several parts of the country including Lucknow and Hyderabad also.
In the union capital, Shahi Imam of Delhi’s Jama Masjid, Syed Ahmed Bukhari also announced that Eid-ul-Fitr would be celebrated across the country tomorrow.
“Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated tomorrow as the Eid moon was sighted in Bihar, West Bengal, Assam and Uttar Pradesh today,” Bukhari said.
This evening, Pakistan’s central Ruet-i-Hilal Chairman Mufti Muneebur Rehman announced that Shawwal moon was sighted in most of the areas of the country and Eid-ul-Fitre would be celebrated tomorrow (Monday), reports said. Eid was today celebrated in Arab countries, Southeast Asian countries.
However in Indian sub-continent it would be celebrated tomorrow.
